Nikki Mann // Why don’t regular models look like me? Inclusivity, diversity & body image in the modeling industry.

Nikki Mann // Why don’t regular models look like me? Inclusivity, diversity & body image in the modeling industry.

Unrealistic, conceptualised and mediated. Modeling has had a past to provide work to only to the stereotypical model body type. Shopping online can be hard when you can't see anyone with your body type. Nikki Mann had a determination to change the model and fashion industry. Creating the model management company, Everi, she provides agency management for models of all body types and ethnicity. Her mission behind Everi is to ensure everyone can feel recognised and appreciated when they shop online or even see models on our electronic bibles, otherwise known as social media. Nikki fell into this passion by interning at a curve model management agency in LA, only to find herself having to come home due to COVID. In LA, Nikki got so much experience working with and scouting successful models - she found herself bringing that knowledge and passion back home to the Gold Coast to create Everi. Nikki’s goals and purpose behind Everi has led her to not a job, but a mission.

Your fave beauty product at the moment?

My go-to is It Cosmetics’ CC Cream. This is a game changer.

Who is someone who inspires you?

Boss babe Rhianna. She is always about inclusivity and diversity but she really means it. She isn't just about ticking boxes and being cheesy, she is actually being genuine and she's really involved as well.

Your favourite quote?

Just go with the flow. The universe is teaching you a lesson.
